The Voices of Unfiltered

Every Unfiltered book is told by someone who actually lived it, and at least three voices stand behind each one. These are the narrators. They are not sorry.

Austin

Austin narrates every life disaster like a TED Talk that catches fire halfway through. Deeply thoughtful, perpetually overthinking, he is convinced there is a logical explanation for everything ~ including why his avocado toast ignited. He builds beautiful frameworks, watches them collapse, cites his sources, and starts again.

Blaze T. Grundie

Blaze T. Grundie has been writing funny books for years under a different pen name ~ and never stopped. What Blaze has done is spend those years hunting for the other voices: undiscovered blog writers, local columnists, and side-hustle storytellers who make people howl but never found their platform. Every book in the Amazing Unfiltered Life catalog is here because it made Blaze laugh until something came out of their nose. That bar is higher than it sounds.

Brent

Brent spent years navigating the absurd maze of office life, emerged slightly singed, and decided the best revenge was writing it all down. Dry wit, burnout bravado, and a fantasy league he takes far more seriously than any job ~ he is wrong approximately 40% of the time and proud of every point of it. His chapters come with fake HR memos and coworker zodiac charts.

Jenny

Jenny reports live from inside the algorithm: part trend reporter, part cozy chaos queen, part perpetual almost-grown-up. She has strong opinions about microtrends, a graveyard of abandoned aesthetics, and a subscription audit she keeps meaning to do. The feed cannot hurt you. (The feed can absolutely hurt you. She has receipts.)

Liko

Liko is the younger-sibling energy to Makaio ~ equally laid-back right up until sports or an argument is involved. Island kid energy meets jock DNA: he cannot help turning everything into a competition, he eats before swimming, and he narrates the beach volleyball tournament like it’s the finals. Genuinely likeable, even when he’s insufferable about winning.

Makaio

Makaio is the laid-back island philosopher who moves at his own pace ~ until something inevitably goes sideways. He insists “it’s all good” while standing in the middle of absolute tropical chaos, and his stories build slow and explode into punchlines, usually somewhere between the beach and the bar. He laughs with everyone, including himself, and truly loves this ridiculous life.

Olivia

Olivia falls in love with a new craft roughly every six weeks, and every one of them is THE one. Hobby evangelist, wannabe eco-goddess, feelings-forward pop-culture addict ~ she owns three glue guns, one mostly-alive sourdough starter, and a closet of beautiful unfinished projects she refuses to call failures. They are drafts.

Penny

Penny shows up fully ~ impeccably organized, apparently holding it all together, and secretly one spilled smoothie from a complete breakdown. She is the “everything is fine” post written from inside a tornado, laughing at her own disasters before anyone else can. Her superpower is maintaining dignity approximately 60% of the time.

Sean Malone

Sean Malone is a firefighter who is essentially a walking insurance claim with great arms: passionate about the job, somewhat less competent than he’d like to admit, and deeply, magnificently unlucky. He writes high-energy confessionals complete with quizzes, bingo cards, and the infamous Malone Method ~ his confident-but-wrong procedure for everything. He is the guy who IS the emergency.
